Attempt Burglary Near You - Burnsdale

You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of an attempted burglary that occurred on Burnsdale BD15 in the early hours of Tuesday 21 April, between 00:30hrs and 01:00hrs.

Thankfully, no access was gained to the property. However, CCTV footage shows unknown suspect(s) walking around the area carrying what is believed to be a scanner device when they weren't successful they left the area. 

This incident also serves as a timely reminder to store keyless car keys securely, such as in a Faraday pouch, when not in use.

What we would like you to do:

✅ Check your CCTV or doorbell footage
If you have CCTV or a doorbell camera, please check for any activity between 00:00hrs and 01:30hrs (or relevant times if known) and report anything suspicious.

✅ Check your door locks
If you have a cylinder lock (commonly found on composite or uPVC doors), please take a moment to inspect it.

We recommend anti‑snap locks with 3 stars displayed on the front, which should be TS007 or SS312 rated. Many reputable locksmiths offer these locks.
